(Barrie, ON – May 1, 2025) The IOOF Seniors Homes Spring 50/50 raffle is launching May 1st with tickets available for purchase online at IOOF.com. Proceeds from the raffle are donated to the IOOF Seniors Homes’ redevelopment campaign to expand the long-term care facility at 10 Brooks Street, Barrie.
Over $14,000 was raised in 2024 through online ticket sales that will directly benefit seniors in our local Barrie community.

The Spring 50/50 Raffle begins on Thursday, May 1, 2025, tickets will be available for purchase at IOOF.com for 10 tickets for $10; 40 tickets for $20; 150 tickets for $50; 400 tickets for $100. The grand prize draw will be held on Friday, May 30, 2025. Sales will close at 11:59pm on Thursday, May 29, 2025.
Early bird purchasers will have an opportunity to win a $500 early bird prize drawn on Friday, May 16, 2025.
Proceeds from the 50/50 support the IOOF’s redevelopment project to build long-term care beds and expand the facility with hopes to begin construction in the coming months. The project will be completed in two phases and is expected to conclude by early 2027, when the IOOF can welcome new residents to the redeveloped long-term care home. The project will create sixty-four new long-term care beds and sixty-six upgraded beds, with modern spaces, updated equipment, private rooms, and increased square footage. When completed, the longterm care home will be a 226-bed facility.
