Rhonda Kapogianis

Director of Resident Care

Rhonda brings nearly two decades of nursing experience to her role at IOOF Seniors Homes, which she joined in July 2024. Her extensive career began in August 2005, spans complex continuing care, acute care, and long-term care environments.

Her professional journey includes diverse roles such as Registered Practical Nurse (RPN), Registered Nurse (RN) in both bedside and charge nurse capacities, Assistant Director of Care, and Director of Care. She has also held management positions outside of direct care, serving as a Point of Sale/IT Manager and a General Manager in a pharmacy setting.

Rhonda holds a Diploma in Practical Nursing and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She has also earned a Gerontological Nursing Certification from the Canadian Nurses’ Association, an Infection Prevention and Control Certificate, and a Certificate in Adult Education. A proud honors graduate, she is an active member of the College of Nurses, the Registered Nurses Association, and the Gerontological Nurses Association.

Outside of her professional life, Rhonda enjoys spending time outdoors. Her hobbies include hiking, paddling, kayaking, swimming, and fishing while exploring Ontario's parks and natural areas. She also values time with her family and pets, reading, and gardening. Passionate about environmental sustainability, she has recently embraced native gardening. Rhonda actively contributes to a greener planet through reducing consumption, composting, and participating in local neighborhood and beach cleanups.
